Fiskebåten "Solskjær" fikk bifangst av den store sorten forleden, da en brugde på 6,3 meter gikk i garnet.
Brugda er en planktonetende hai. Den kan nå lengder på over 13 meter og er med det verdens nest største fisk. Den har avtatt i antall de siste årene, og er nå på rødlista og fredet for direkte fangst i Norge.
Lofoten Nature bisto havforskningsinstituttet med å ta prøver av den store haien. Disse inngår i et internasjonalt prosjekt der man ønsker å kartlegge bestanden i forskjellige havområder gjennom DNA-prøver.
