Basking shark as bycatch

The fishing vessel "Solskjær" got some serious bycatch last week, when a 6,3 meter long basking shark found its way into the net.

In April a White-tailed eagle was found dead in Raftsundet. No it has landed and found its final destination at Lofoten Nature.

Røst - the outermost island in Lofoten - have become known as a hot spot for rare birds during fall migration. But a visit to the islands in summer can also be rewarding for birdwatchers!
